On Jan. 12, Inspector General of the Intelligence Community Thomas Monheim led a classified briefing to U.S. Congress Members. The briefing came in response the chain of events that followed David Grushs' story that was first public on June 5, 2023 as part of a Debrief article, in which he claimed the existence of a secret reverse engineering program for "crash or landed" UAPs. Since then, Grush has appeared on multiple public interviews, and overtime added much more depth to his story. He was the key witness for the House Oversight Committee public hearing on Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, in which he claimed that non-human "biologics" came with some of the UAP recoveries. He noted "that was the assessment of people with direct knowledge on the program I talked to that are currently still on the program" Woah! So there is definitely some kind of program and the people working on it at least claim that they're working on "non human biologics." Pretty interesting! This gathered more interest from other congress members overtime, becoming a truly bipartisan issue with both Democrats and Republicans demanding transparency and oversight. So, finally the classified briefing.

Let's talk about the immediate reaction of the Congress members who attended the briefing who were interviewed right after exiting the briefing. //TODO - Sort and see if more can be inferred.

U.S. Republican party Representative Anna Paulina Luna who has been a champion for getting Grush's story the right attention and demanding further answers said that she believes the claim that Grush had made about "people that were hurt for having this information, and keeping this information, and/or trying to come forward with this information." So, the Inspector General must have validated the fact that people have been hurt for their involvement in the UAP circus. This then begs so many more questions, ... but perhaps confirms the fact that this is deserves primary journalistic focus! The traditional media has MISERABLY failed at reporting this entire story with any respectable degree of accuracy or clarity. And worse, they have ridiculed the entire idea of UAP - either falling victim to or participating in the intentional propaganda set up to not allow any real research or attention into the phenomenon. Again, why so much effort against people looking into understanding something? [TODO: An article entirely about the active efforts to dismiss any conversations about UAPs and the role of US governmental agencies in it.]

An interviewer asked the Representative about whether the briefing clarified how much of the claims could've been secret US programs mistaken for or misidentified as UAP VS the specific claims Grusch made about "non-human biologics." She said "It has become apparent that there has been a movement whether it's within the Intelligence Community or not to prevent us from finding out more information on this." The good thing is, all of them stepped out more curious, and energetic about further involvement in this topic - so that's good (more on this below). But then, she further added something that made me scratch my head - "I think it's incredibly important to listen to the specific words that Grusch uses. Grush never said extra-terrestrial or alien, he said inter-dimensional. I think that that's incredibly important." She said this RIGHT AFTER walking out of that briefing.

U.S. Democratic Party Representative Jared Moskowitz said "there's a lot of new questions and a lot of new areas to ask and poke in based on what we got in this meeting." Good! Sounds like they did get some leads, unless ICIG would mislead congress? But then again, it's difficult to understand what the stakes are here to protect this info from being accessed by members of congress, who are actively pursuing it.

U.S. Republican Party Representative Tim Burchett who has been a champion on addressing the entire UAP issue publicly and getting the right attention for the whistleblower claims said "It's got me focused on whom we need to be bringing into the hearing." So, good! it looks like they know where to go from here. He added "It's not about little green men or flying saucers. It's about tens or millions of dollars on an issue that we've been told does not exist since 1947, yet they're spending that money on research something." They're researching "something?" And based on what Grusch said, these researchers claim that this is "non-human" tech? Wild! But this is exactly the strategy that they should follow! The legal actions to be taken over all the disinformation, ridicule of real witnesses, propaganda, and all the taxpayer money, all spent on something that has no oversight from U.S. lawmakers? And not even the ICIG was able to provide all answers. So who runs this? //TODO an article on movement to private contractors and what disclosure could mean for unprecedented legal implications in governmental contracts.

When asked whether he was satisfied with the briefing, Republican Representative Eric Burlison said "It does give us a direction to go next." So far, everyone seems happy with the 'next-steps' they've been provided with.

Democratic Representative Raja Krishnamoorthi said "a lot of questions remain unanswered. Mr Grusch has made allegations that we're still trying to figure out the veracity of and we haven't gotten the answers that we need." He added, "unfortunately, I don't think that we're looking at the substance of his claims, and instead, we're kind of dancing around the procedural nature of his claims ... We don't have the answers right now!" This seems to be cohesion with what Lue Elizondo - former DoD employee who was in the news a lot after the Dec. 2017 New York Times article about the secret $22 million dollar program that investigated UFOs. I have my fair share of doubts with Elizondo (TODO: write an article), but what he emphasized in almost all of his interviews was that they attempted to figure out was how it works and what the physics of their movement is, and hoped that people in the future would look into origin, intentions, and all. So, its understandable that Krishnamoorthi expressed frustration of lack of answers in the substance. But, it does imply that that briefing validated its existence (especially when considered in context with what Representative Luna said about the need to focus on Grushs' emphasis on "inter-dimensional" and not "extraterrestrial."

Now, a little after the briefing. What the briefed members said on Twitter -

Representative Luna tweeted "I feel confident that we have enough evidence to move forward with our first field hearing." She tagged Matt Gaetz (who, during the public UAP hearing, claimed to have seen an image of an "orb" taken by a member of U.S. military flight crew that he "could not attach to any human capability"), Jared Moskowitz and Tim Burchett. Good thing it is bipartisan as well! I am looking forward to where this leads.

According to Ask a Pol, post the classified briefing, Nancy Mace told them "I won't name names, but we have a better sense of who that might be today," when referring to defense contractors, and mentioned she wants them at the next hearing. So we're definitely getting somewhere. And with the 2024 U.S. Presidential elections coming up, this might end up being THE central topic of conversation. There were a few questions during the Republican primaries about UAPs and some were met with a bit of laughter as well, but things have certainly changed since then. Even the traditional news media that not too long ago was ridiculing this topic, is now slowly catching up to its reality.

There is some news on Twitter that Representative Krishnamoorthi is considering a bi-partisan letter to the Executive branch to request UAP transparency. Remember that he had displayed frustration about not finding answers to the substance of Grushs' claims. Good! Pursue the substance! That information should be accessible to all of humanity, not locked up!

Representative Burchett confirmed in an interview with Chris Cuomo on NewsNation that Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was present at the classified briefing. I'm looking forward to what she threads she will pursue to get the answers!

Democratic Representative Ro Khanna said that there are more questions now and that there's a need for further answers and briefings. https://www.reddit.com/r/UFOs/comments/197hpo5/rep_ro_khanna_attended_the_inspector_general_scif/

All the briefed members talked about compartmentalization being a problem when asked how much info they actually obtained in the meeting. This isn't surprising. Grush claims that the same compartmentalization strategies employed in the Manhattan Project were overlayed into the UAP phenomenon. But sounds like they got leads into whom to call in next. And this is a bipartisan call to get these answers.

Representative Moskowitz tweeted "Based on what we heard many of Grusch claims have merit!" Keep in mind, this could also be interpreted as Grusch's claims on only reprisals against him have merit, but it's pretty clear based on context, when juxtaposed with the response of all other briefed members. Also, we all know which of Grusch's claims have the most weight for the entirety of our species!

So in summary, right now we are witnessing US law makers are actively pursue the veracity of the claims of "non-human," potentially "inter-dimensional" piloted craft being "reverse-engineered" without congressional oversight. It's super interesting!
